POST 3 ANGELA BORDI
Personally, I find striking the moment in which Jay is killed, I couldn`t believe that Wilson could do something of that kind. What`s more, I couldn´t accept that Gatsby died because of Daisy`s fault and even worse, because of Daisy´s insensitivity.
While I was reading I was thinking about every little detail and my own expectations , that I had as a reader but the way in which the story developed later, I wasn`t prepared for that unexpected end. In my opinion, The Great Gatsby made me think about the materialistic world and to such extent a person can love and change his/her life completely so as to be involved in such amazing but passionate story that would end with his/her life. If I would have the chance to be with Scott Fitzgerald ,as Gil Pender does in Midnight in Paris, I would ask him if Nick was saying all the truth and nothing but the truth in the novel, and if Daisy could have change her mind if divorce wasn`t badly seen by society, in order to marry Gastby.

Your post reveals plenty of personal reflection, but unfortunately it is very difficult to follow. Don't use sentences which are so long! The text becomes involved...
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about Nick's account? Is he telling the truth? Does he believe he is telling the truth?
