POST 3 DAIANA ASCANIO

After all, I could finish reading the book. It takes me quite a lot, but I really enjoyed reading it.

If I have to think about the most striking moments I would focus on the last chapters. Why? because it is there when the story starts to make more sense or may be gets more interesting. But, one of the things that call my attention was the two unexpected deaths, actually they were three. First Myrtle´s and then Gatsby´s and George´s.
The way in which Fitzgerald describes them really gives me goosebumps, as when he says "Myrtle Wilson´s body, wrapped in a blanket, and then in another blanket, as though she suffered from a chill in the hot night..."

While I was reading the book, I tried to predict what were going to happen, and I imagined things like Gatsby and Daisy maybe would end up together, but sincerely I have never thought something like that. Although I don´t like the end, beacause in my opinion Gatsby didn´t deserve the death, there was always a kind of mystery in the book that tell us that something wrong would happen. At least it is my point of view.

If I would have the opportunity to ask something to the writer,my question would be "why did Nick forget his birthday? and why did Myrtle´s death happen the same day?... Maybe Nick had became so involved with Gatsby´s rich, society life, that he forgot about his own...
