Post 3: After Reading the whole play. Cecilia Pedrido

I think that the most important of all the ideas of the play are:
- Relationships and how they get more and more complicated.
- Desires in life. The most important of all is to be motivated to reach a certain goal or aim in life.
- Dramatic situations and how they affect people's feelings. For example Blenche's boyfriend death.

I think the title of the play refers to how Blenche desired to achieve her goals. For example, she wanted her sister to be away from Stanley. Also, the title refers to Mitch who desired to be married and have a family.
I can also say that the titles refers to Stanley and his friends played poker who really wanted to be lucky and gain a lot of money.

The play made me think about how we deal with different situations in life to accomplish everything we want.
It also made me think about it is very important to try our best no matter what happens. We shouldn't be scared whether we fail sometimes or whether things turn on difficult. It's better to think and show that we are capable of facing the different situations that happen in life.

If i got the chance to ask the writer a question I would ask him why Stella became an easy character to manipulate?.

  1. You seem to suggest that Blanche was able to achieve her goals: is that the case? What about the others: do they?

Do you consider the play illustrates fair rewards?

BTW, you mention a boyfriend. Is that accurate?

NB: check the title of your post; the most important of all; Mitch that wanted; demonstrate (check meaning and use); fragments vs sentences; gain money; think about that; don't have to vs shouldn't; turn on difficult; indirect questions.

  2. I can say that finally Blanche didn't achieve her goal because in the end she left her sister's house.
As regards Stanley, he achieved his goal about taking Blenche out of his house and taking her to a mental hospital.
I don't consider this play illustrates fair rewards..It seems that nobody cares about other people's feelings or thoughts.
And about Mitch, he unfortunately couldn't achieve his goal. In the end he decided not to marry Blenche because he found out that she was lying and she was not being honest with him...

This play reflects how situations and relationships in life can become difficult to manage. It is about trying and showing that we care what we do and say. And the most important aspect of all is to show that we careabout them.
