Virginia Woolf dates the change in "human nature" to December 1910, when the first exhibition of French Post-Impressionist and Cubist painting took place in London.

ReplyDelete1- radical break with some of the traditional bases of Western culture
2- manifest rejection of realism
3- reflection of a sense of fragmentation
4- active rol of the reader/spectator on the interpretation of the artistic material
